Fee structure and policy

IAP squad fees are charged on a flat-fee, per term basis (based on Victorian Government state school dates), regardless of how many weeks there are in the term. This flat fee includes all holiday training, Saturday morning sessions and a minimum number of coach-supported meets (for competitive swimmers) offered throughout the year.  There is no training on public holidays and there will be scheduled rest week/s throughout periods of some school holidays.

Term fees and maximum number of weekly training sessions swimmers can train in each squad are as follows (note, there is NO minimum session a swimmer must attend per week):

Junior Squad - $250.00 (maximum 3 sessions per week)

Intermediate Squad - $350.00 (maximum 4 sessions per week)

Target Squad - $425.00 (maximum 6 sessions per week)

Senior Squad - $500.00 (maximum 9 sessions per week)

Fit Squad - $300.00 (maximum 3 sessions per week)

The above fees are per term (4 terms per year) and payable prior to commencement of a new term – fee notices will be issued at the end of each term for the upcoming holiday training and following term.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds for missed sessions due to short-term illness, extra holidays taken by families, if you choose not to attend holiday training, or if you begin training late after the commencement of a term.

Credit Policy for long-term illness

If a swimmer misses training due to long-term illness or injury greater than three (3) weeks, IAP may provide credit towards the following term’s fee. The credit is not transferable to another swimmer.

A written notice to the Club via email is required, along with a copy of a valid medical certificate.  The certificate must specify the dates that the swimmer is unable to participate in training. Fee credit is calculated pro-rata based on a 10 week term. For example, for a swimmer in Senior Squad who misses 4 weeks of training, credit will be calculated as follows:

Senior Squad fee @$500 per term = $50 per week.  4 weeks absence = $200 credit towards the following term’s fees.

Swimming Victoria Membership

All squad swimmers must also be members of Swimming Victoria (SV), the governing association for swimming in Victoria.

Swimming Victoria offers two levels of membership:

Swimming Victoria membership is paid online annually through SV from July 1 of each year. The 2017-18 price for SV annual membership:

Please note that these membership fees are set by Swimming Victoria and not IAP.
